OXYD-KERAMIK GMBH & CO KG is a medium-sized family business that was founded in 1965.
More than 40 employees are currently employed. Refractory building materials are manufactured

exclusively for the iron, steel and non-ferrous metals industry.

Every employee is important to us. We work hand in hand as a team.
That is why we also train and take on as many employees as possible after training.

In the last 50 years, our customers have expanded more and more,

so that in addition to customers in our "home region" of Germany,

Austria and Switzerland, we can also supply customers around the world.

 

 

 

 


Our company headquarters is beautifully located in Lippe, whereas our products are used all over the world!



History

1964 Founding of Oxyd-Keramik GmbH (on April 1, 1965) Establishment of industrial premises at a former mill in Elbrinxen
1965 First orders:– dye works Flores, Krefeld– August- Thyssen Hütte, Duisburg (today ThyssenKrupp Steel)
Main focus:– smelting works– hardening plant
1966 development and production of dry vibration compounds for steel casting foundries
From 1969 Lease of a brickworks in Blomberg/Lippe for the production of high temperature insulating bricks for hot blast stoves (blast furnaces). Customers:– Rolandshütte, Lübeck– Hüttenbetrieb Meiderich (steel mill operation), Duisburg (today landscaped park Duisburg – Nord)
1971 Purchase of property (12000 m²) at Postweg and erection of aproduction hall and warehouse in addition to administration building.– Employees: 10
1977Expansion of production hall

1981 Purchase of additional property at Postweg in Elbrinxen (approx. 2000 m2)
1983 2nd Expansion of production hall. Production and assembly of compounds for casting furnaces (cast iron)
Company reorganised into Oxyd-Keramik GmbH Co. KG

1985 Construction of a silo installation with 5 silos for storage of raw materials
1989 Expansion of the silo installation to 20 silos. Construction of an additional warehouse with rooms for workshop

and laboratory

1994 Construction of a filling plant for big bags with a maximum weight of 2 t
1995 Roofing over existing lorry weighbridge
1997 Purchase of additional property adjacent to shop (approx. 2000 m2)
2000 Expansion of production facilities specific to foundry (cast iron). Site of application for these products are among others cupola furnace
2004 Purchase of an automatic filling line
2005 Purchase of an additional automatic filling line
2006 Construction of a new warehouse (approx. 850 m2). Purchase of an automatic sack filling line

2008 Construction of a filling plant for big bags with a maximum weight of 2 t

2009 Expansion of the company premises by purchasing an adjacent piece of land to approx. 23,000 m2

2014 Acquisition of an X-ray diffractometer for laboratory tests
2016 Construction of a logistics hall (approx. 800 m2) including extensions for workshop and laboratory (approx. 200 m2)
– Redesign and expansion of the social wing for the production workers
2019 Construction of a mobile warehouse (approx. 750 m2)
– Employees: 39
2020 Expansion of the company premises through the purchase of a neighboring property (approx. 7,000 m2)
– Conversion of the tennis hall on it into a warehouse (approx. 1.000 m2)
2023 Expansion of the analysis options in the laboratory through the purchase of a temperature-controlled pressure softening measuring device.
